Blind Questions: what do you want in 2024?

Choices choices…

When you have had a think about your garden growing this year, or after your wheel has provided some insights - use these brilliant questions to help you see your choice in 3 dimensions.

This activity is about setting a goal and working your way towards it - but even just exploring what this choice means to you can be valuable.

As important as the choice itself is how you feel about it: what is motivating you, why it feels difficult or ‘big’, what the commitment is or what the habit looks like, or what the beliefs or assumptions are that are currently in your way.

Step by step.

The Blind Questions are designed to help you break down something that feels big into more manageable chunks. As a process, it will help you sense out what needs to be done next - and reduce the overwhelm of how to manage your choice.

Set a timer and give yourself just 1minute to answer each of these questions: think intuitively and set aside the rational mind for the time you are doing the activity. Just feel into the answers and write down what comes to mind first.

BLIND QUESTIONS

1. What do you want? (State your goal in the positive).

2. Where are you now and what have you got? (Audit you resources, experience and support)

3. What is the difference between 1 and 2?

4. How will you know when you have achieved what you want? What will it look like?

5. What will this outcome give you?

6. What prevents you from moving forward toward it and attaining it now? (Consider both internal and external obstacles)

7. How many possible ways can you come up with to reach your goal?

8. Narrow them down to the 1 or 2 that feel the best and explore in detail (including consequences, costs, benefits)

9. How much do you want this outcome?

10. What do you need to do or to know to make this outcome even more compelling?

11.What will be your first steps and when?

12. What will you need to take these first steps - resources, time, support, anything else

13. Write down your action plan, starting from where you are to what you want to achieve. Include everything you have, everything you need - and be specific in terms of what you will do next and when you will do it.

Good luck!
