Return to work

1:1 coaching packages

We help mothers return to work smoothly and confidently at any stage of their career – supporting the transition to working parenthood, whilst also acknowledging huge personal change.

Women shouldn’t have to choose between being a parent and having professional ambition – success can be designed to support both. Our coaching provides a supportive space to explore what that looks like in practice.

    • Managing new work patterns and the new pace of career progression

    • Confidence in job performance following time away

    • Shifts in identity, purpose, values and ambition

    • Integration back into teams that are often different to the ones that were left

    • Creating effective balance and boundaries for the competing demands of home/work – to protect health and well-being

    • Managing emotions associated with going back to work and leaving your child with someone else

    • Map out the pressures they experience, both personal and professional, in a non-judgemental, confidential space

    • Recognise and celebrate changes that have happened and skills that have been discovered since they became a parent

    • Restore confidence in those who feel disconnected and rebuild their professional visibility and value

    • Establish and align professional aspirations within the context of family life

    • Explore, design, and ask for what’s needed to succeed at this key career stage

    • Raise workplace awareness of the realities mothers face returning to work

    • Consider long term career goals as a parent, once settled back in work

    • Increased retention of some of your most valuable employees

    • Increased productivity and engagement – through greater confidence, effective boundary setting and enhanced motivation

    • Increased talent pool and the avoidance of 'brain drain' – especially of retaining women as they move into positions of leadership

    • Reduced skills gaps – by identifying what mothers need and celebrating new skills they are developing through parenting

    • Enhanced employee wellbeing, satisfaction and loyalty

    • A stronger, more resilient, diverse and inclusive company culture that will appeal to future parents

“Support makes the difference between staying and leaving.”

The number of women in management drops by 32% after having children, and the number of women in admin increases by 44%.”

  • “Coaching has been the best bit of CPD I’ve done, and helped me through some big questions during the transition back after maternity leave. I am struck by how confident and engaged I feel with what I’m doing in my work. I feel I can achieve anything I want.”

Clare, Consultant in Dept. of Education & Mother

  • “MAMA Coaching was a revelation! As a consultant in a high pressure environment, I was worried about juggling childcare with my job and reintegrating after time out of the business. I really valued the safe space to talk through and troubleshoot challenges.”
